Bikes and Rack Rental Terms and Conditions

  1. We aim to provide high quality specialist bikes for hire. To achieve this at a reasonable cost we ask our customers to treat the equipment responsibly.

  2. Please provide a valid Passport, I.D Document or Drivers License upon signing the rental agreement.

  3. A deposit of R1000.00 is payable upfront. If deposit is paid in cash, it will be returned in cash (South African Rands only). Credit card deposits are refunded on card and may take between 3-7 working days to clear depending on the bank.

  4. There will be a minimal delivery fee if you live outside the Tableview/Blaubergstrand/Milnerton areas. This fee will be discussed with you when our rentals department makes contact with you.

  5. All bookings are subject to availability. When a booking is made by one person on behalf of another person or people, that person confirms to Cycle Africa Tours that he or she has the authority to make such a booking.

  6. The hire period commences on the day the cycle(s) and equipment is collected or dispatched to you and continues until the cycle(s) and equipment is returned to Cycle Africa Tours.

  7. You are responsible for all cycles and equipment hired or loaned and it is your responsibility to keep these items safe from damage, loss or theft, use it in a proper manner and not subject it to any misuse or unfair wear and tear.

  8. Any damage caused due to crash or neglect is the customers responsibility and will be charged for. We do not permit to, or cover damages due to riding on the beach.

  9. It is the rider's responsibility to take care of his/her own safety. Cycling involves personal risk and you must ride responsibly. Cycle Africa Tours will not be help liable for any injury/death that occurs from using hired equipment.

  10. All bikes come with pump and bag with a multi-tool, spare tube and tyre levers. Any items used (tube) or lost will be charged for.

  11. Mechanics or other issues with rental bicycles should be reported immediately via sms, phone or e-mail. Repairs or replacements will be done where and however possible within the limits or our ability. Mechanicals etc. reported after use/rental period has expired may not be refunded.

  12. Bicycles should at all times be transported inside a vehicle or on carriers where possible. Damage due to improper storage and/or transport will be charged to the client's account. No more than two bicycles should be transported in the back of a bakkie (truck) unless fastened in an upright position.

  13. Rates may change without prior notice.
